Smoochees Friday night

I do not know whats going on there, but my lady friend and I went at 11:30 PM Friday night..... stayed till 2AM.... not another couple there the entire time we were there...... it was VERY disappointing.

I am sorry to hear that. I guess this last Friday was a bad night to go. I know when Bizarre Times first got started you could just never tell how many, if anyone, would be in the theater. Now, it's one of the most popular places of it's kind!

I am sure that in time, Smoochee's will have it's own standing as one of the (if not the BEST) better choices for those of us that like to go play at the couples' theaters.

Since we have opened we have not had any issues with law enforment. There is a bell system to notify the couples in the theater if anyone is going to enter the theater, in order to respect couples privacy while viewing movies.

We had a similar experience several weeks back. There several hours, only one other couple came in. But they didn't stay long. The movie was an old 'Johnny Wadd' flick. A refreshing change from the usual stuff these days where they don't even try to have a plot.

We would love to go when more people are there. However, our schedule to play together is irregular. If somebody organizes something we'll come if at all possible.

Haven't tried Bizarre Times, I assume you all are referring to the one on Richmond?

You can request any movie they have and they will play it for you in the theater at Smoochee's.

We went last night about 2:00 am stayed until 4:00 there were several couples one just played alone , another went back in the private booths , another was a threesome that played alone and watched, and finally the couple we played with, :2thumbs: :bjswallow :sex_bj: :h&k:

We have been 2 times, both were before the security issue came up. We did enjoy it and were going to go back after the cameras were installed. Now I am hearing a nasty rumor on another board that i am on. I am curious if anyone went to Smoochees last Saturday and were there sometime around 1:30 or 2:00 AM? I will not say what this rumor is because it is a rumor. If it is true then someone out there will know what I am talking about and hopefully will elaborate.

Sorry to be so vague but rumors hurt people and businesses alike...just looking for answers for now.

I was just starting a message to you regarding the Friday incident. Houston Vice came in late Friday/early Saturday and confiscated the sexual paraphenelia (sex toys, etc) from the place. Cleared all the displays out! Smoochee's have taken it to their lawyer and he says what vice did was not legal and they will fight it to get all the merchandise back.

To cover themselves and their costumers, they will likely make the theater 'private membership'. This may not happen right away, but as much of a hassle as it may be for us, the customers, it may keep us from being ticketed for whatever...indecent exposure???

I understand even the cops going in thought it was BS that they were even there. There are SO many places like Smoochees in Houston. I suspect a competitor anonymously called Vice.

Thanks for the info. We do like Smoochees and will most likely check things out again if they do go to "Private Membership" for the couples area.
Please enlighten me as I am new to the "adult club scene"... If Smoochees in fact goes to a private status for their couples theatre what exactly does that mean. How can some clubs get away with "On Premises" status and some can not? I know next to nothing when it comes to clubs for consenting adult play. I have only been to Smoochees and to The Jungle so my experience is rather limited.

Thanks for letting us know what happened. I will wait and see what happenes and what is planned for the future of Smoochees.

I would like to hear from Smoochees there side of this. If they need to, have there lawyers post a response. Were any customers in the theater at the time and were any customers ticketed? Did the bell system work? Did the adult store next door get busted also?

This WAS the info that we got from the theater manager. We were wondering too if the place next door had a visit from Houston Vice, but I am not sure if Henry asked that question or not. :)

Sorry everyone that we have not posted anything yet, we have been very busy. Well first off, we did get raided by the vice police on Friday night. As it turns out it is the same vice squad that bust prostitutes and all kinds of things, as long as it does not envolve drug activity, then that would be the narcotics division. Any how, they raided the place because some how some where someone made a complaint against us. When that happens to a place like this, that is when there eyes are set on us. We believe it was next door who complained, but not for sure, the guy does not like us there. But the place next door also got raided the week before. When we talked to our lawyer he said there were 4 other stores that have been busted this month. Our employees' ended up going to jail for the night and now we are fighting to get everything back and to get this off of there record.
As far as the raid goes, they came in for the toys. Yep, apparently dildos and vibrators are very illegal in Texas. Yep if you have more then 6 on yourself or in your house or vehicle you will get a ticket, and have to fight the courts to get them back.
Unfortunately the vice were sneeky and sent in a fake couple into the theater and caught a couple engageing in sexual activity. Now I am not for sure what happened to them, as I was not here. But I know they did get a ticket. That is why we are going to try and make it a private membership thing, that way it is not open to the public, and everything is legal. That is why it is illegal now, because it is a public place. All this means, is when you come in to go into the theater, a small amount of the door fee will go toward a one day private membership pass to our v.i.p. theater. This way it is private and no one will get busted for anything, well if there are drugs they will, but I think you will also be able to drink in there as well, not sure on that part yet though.
But most of the stuff they took is life like dildos and vibrators, so right now we are working on getting more items and work around the law. Sorry for any inconvenience we have caused.
As far as the bell beigng rung, from what I understand and from the video we had of the raid, the police just ran in the place some just inside and some ran straight upstairs, they had it planned out.
There were two of them that had there faces covered, so I could not tell who they were, one was a male, one was female.
Once again sorry about the inconvenience we caused anyone, but we are not going to let some old old old law beat us. We want for everyone to enjoy themselves and not be afraid to have fun as grown consenting adults.

Just a suggestion: DO NOT add liquor to the mix. You won't just have Houston Vice up your ass, but TABC also. No liquor, no drugs would be a safer choice.
